Defense dominated as Monticello Aucilla Christian pitched a 29-0 shutout of Valdosta Georgia Christian in Florida high school football action on Sept. 15.

DASHER, Ga. (WCTV) - Aucilla Christian quarterback Landon LaRossa carried the Warriors to a shut out 29-0 victory of Georgia Christian. Aucilla would lead the game 6-0 at the half but a second half emergence from the Warriors would take the game. LaRossa rushed for two touchdowns on the night and helped get the ball through the air.

On Friday, Sept. 8, the Jefferson County High School Tigers hosted the Eagles of North Florida Christian School, from Tallahassee. The Tigers fell behind early and were not able to catch the Eagles as they were defeated 47-12. The Eagles struck first and held a 7-0 lead as the opening quarter drew to a close. The Tigers were then outscored 20-6 during the second quarter and, by halftime, found themselves in a 27-6 deficit. The Tigers were again outscored in the third period, 17-0. The Tigers attempted to claw their way back into the contest, scoring another six points, while holding the Eagles to one field goal in the final quarter of play.
