Police investigating after man harassed, groped women on Trolley Trail

BETHESDA, MD – The Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Patrol Investigations Unit is probing a series of inappropriate touching incidents along the Trolley Trail between Edson Lane and Tuckerman Lane. The suspect, who was caught on video, reportedly harassed women in the neighborhood adjacent to the trail.

The first known incident occurred on Sunday, May 21, 2023, when the suspect knocked a female victim to the ground and groped her near the Kennedy Shriver Aquatic Center on Nicholson Lane. Two days later, on Tuesday, May 23, the suspect, riding an electric scooter, accosted two women walking on the Trolley Trail.

The male suspect, who may be in his 20s or 30s and is possibly Asian or White, was seen wearing black-rimmed glasses, a light gray hooded sweatshirt with a multicolored rainbow design on the back, black pants, and black/red/white shoes.
