Art Walk
Are your ready to enjoy an art-filled, joyous stroll through beautiful downtown Crawfordsville?. On Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. red balloons will mark the businesses with art in their windows for the annual Art Walk sponsored by the Art League of Montgomery County. Some art will go up prior to this date and remain in the windows for a few days after.

MCCF receives grant to support infants, toddlers
The Montgomery County Community Foundation announced Thursday that it has been selected as a recipient of the Early Years Initiative from Early Learning Indiana. The Early Years Initiative is a $50 million competitive grant program focused on enhancing the learning and development of infants and toddlers in Indiana communities. The support for this initiative comes from Lilly Endowment Inc.
IYG is here to help support LGBTQ teens
Indiana Youth Group’s Journey Reabe faces a fun, but tough challenge trying to pin down what the youth she’s serving like, as in, like to do, like to eat, like to learn about. Reabe facilitates the Indiana Youth Group’s Drop-In Tuesdays, a weekly event for LGBTQ+ youth in Montgomery County. It’s a new venture, in fact, IYG picked Crawfordsville as its first-ever satellite, part of a plan to expand across Indiana to give LGBTQ+ (and allies) safe spaces, mental health counseling and resources because these young people often struggle and usually in many ways.
Chamber celebrates Everwise Credit Union
The Crawfordsville/Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce celebrated Everwise Credit Union’s rebranding and new name from Teacher Credit Union. Everwise Credit Union, the largest credit union in Indiana, changed its name to better reflect its mission to empower and serve all people and grow beyond its original educator roots. The change in brand does not reflect a change in ownership and TCU will remain 100% member owned and headquartered in South Bend.

The Montgomery County Council on Aging Senior Celebration and Expo drew approximately 250 visitors Wednesday at the Crawfordsville Park and Rec.
