A fire broke out at a Montgomery hotel Sunday afternoon.
According to Montgomery Fire/Rescue, multiple units responded at 1:42 p.m. to smoke and flames on the second floor of a hotel in the 5100 block of Carmichael Road.
Assistant Fire Chief S.L. Cooper reported that crews were able to contain the fire to the room from which it originated.
Firefighters searched the room and surrounding rooms, and no one was found. There were no reports of injuries to firefighters.
Cooper said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
