Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed to Launch Re-Election Campaign Wednesday

Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed has announced that he’ll launch his re-election campaign on Wednesday.

Reed will hold his first campaign event at Gateway Park Lodge at noon.

He was first elected in 2019, winning 67% of the vote in a runoff. He is the first Black mayor in the city’s history.

Elections for Montgomery mayor and all nine city council seats will be held on Tuesday, August 22.
