No lions and tigers, but bears, bears, bears, oh my. I remember reading these tips on a bear blog to avoid an attack...be aware of your surroundings to avoid surprising it. If you do come across a bear try to stay calm, make yourself look as big as possible, slowly and calmly move backwards and out of it's path, do not scare it by running or falling, avoid making eye contact but talk calmly so it knows You're not just another animal, give it plenty of space, keep garbage out of their reach. If a bear does come at you keep pepper spray on your keychain, yell like hell or blow a whistle at it, throw something hard.
