The goal of sweetgreen is to reimagine fast food as something that can be healthy. Their newest location brings plant-forward, seasonal, and earth-friendly meals made from fresh ingredients to Montclair. Patrons can further customize their meal while ordering online or at the counter to easily accommodate any dietary restrictions.
Montclair’s 3,250-square foot sweetgreen location can seat 30 diners. The interior features their signature pine and white tile around the restaurant with white oak millwork. In addition, this location will feature a series of holographic paintings that represent the seasons by Artist Claire Buckley.

Organic, Local, and In Season
sweetgreen prioritizes using organic, regenerative, and local produce. They use these ingredients to create popular menu items like Guacamole Greens, which has been available since day one. This dish includes roasted chicken, avocado, tomatoes, red onions, shredded cabbage, tortilla chips, spring mix, and romaine lettuce. They finish it with a lime squeeze and lime cilantro jalapeno dressing on top. The Harvest Bowl is also a fan favorite. This warm bowl has roasted chicken, sweet potatoes, apples, goat cheese, roasted almonds, warm wild rice, and shredded kale. All mixed with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
Meanwhile, rotating seasonal items are an important part of the sweetgreen experience. Patrons often look forward to the returning Miso Bowl. But their newest menu additions include the BBQ Chicken + Squash Plate, featuring their new BBQ squash and caramelized onions. The BBQ sauce comes from Chef Charlie McKenna, two-time world BBQ champion and founder of Chicago’s Lillie’s Q restaurant.
Ways to Order
Ordering from existing menu items or creating custom bowls is easy at sweetgreen thanks to their website and mobile app. Customers can swap ingredients based on preference and then pick up either at a sweetgreen location or authorized Outpost. Their Outpost program offers free scheduled delivery to specific drop-off points like corporate offices, apartment buildings, and retail spaces.
sweetgreen now offers a catering program as well. They will create fresh and individually packaged meals based on dietary needs for catered events or meetings. The catering menu offers made-to-order dishes, including salads and grain bowls with meat plus vegan-friendly options.
