Mel Mobley

North Louisiana is known for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant arts scene, and the annual New Music on the Bayou concerts have become a cornerstone of the summer music scene. This unique event brings together contemporary composers, performers, and audiences to celebrate and explore the latest trends in new music.

The concerts will be held at a variety of venues May 31 - June 2, in Monroe and Ruston. Selections will feature a diverse range of styles and genres, from experimental electronic music to chamber music and everything in between. Each year, the festival features a carefully curated selection of new works by emerging and established composers, offering audiences a chance to hear cutting-edge music that is not often heard in traditional concert halls.

In addition to its artistic and educational mission, the New Music on the Bayou concerts also serve as an important economic driver for north Louisiana and the surrounding region. The festival attracts visitors from across the country, generating revenue for local businesses and supporting jobs in the hospitality industry.

More information on the concert locations can be found at: https://www.newmusiconthebayou.com/schedule
