The Mobile Saenger Theatre’s summer movie series return in July with an eclectic roster of comedies, dramas and action flicks running through August.
The schedule calls for films to be shown at 7 p.m. Thursdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for children younger than 12 and seniors over 60. Patrons are encouraged to bring donation items for United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile. (See list below.)

Thursday, Aug. 17: “Bridget Jones’s Diary,” 7 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 20: “Pirates of the Caribbean,” 3 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 24: “The Breakfast Club,” 7 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 27: “Smokey and the Bandit,” 3 p.m.
According to promotional materials, tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 2.
Suggested items for donation to United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile: Antibacterial hand soap, sanitizing wipes (Clorox wipes), Lysol disinfecting spray, Clorox disinfecting mist, baby wipes, antibacterial all-purpose cleaner, paper towels, gallon size Ziploc bags, shower cleaning spray, Sharpie markers.
