The new Lionsgate film “About My Father" will be released in theaters nationwide Friday, May 26.
Starring Robert De Niro, it was the first film made in the Mobile area after the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the local film industry for an entire year.
For many of our local crew and talent, this was their first film back working in the industry doing the job they love.
"About My Father" employed 107 local film crew members from Alabama and 500 background actors from the area. It also utilized several local businesses, homes and locations.
