Mobile area man in custody after shooting death of both parents

Two people are dead and their son in custody after a Baldwin County Saturday shooting.

According to a Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office media release, around 1 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to the report of a shooting on McFarland Road in an unincorporated area near Spanish Fort.

Deputies found two victims inside of the residence with gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to the BCSO release, authorities believe Trinell Brown, 25, went to his parents’ residence and confronted them about an ongoing family dispute. During the argument, Brown reportedly shot and killed both of his parents.

After the shooting, Brown exited the residence and made a statement to witnesses that he killed his parents, according to authorities. After being notified about the homicides, deputies took Brown into custody, according to a media release.

No charges are yet recorded in the state court system.
