Should Missouri legalize gambling, Arrowhead Stadium could soon host a sportsbook
If the State of Missouri legalizes gambling before the 2023 NFL season, Kansas City Chiefs fans could have another in-stadium activity during games next year. The Athletic reports that NFL owners voted Tuesday to allow physical sportsbooks to operate at the league’s stadiums. The margin is unknown at this point. Also unknown is how each owner voted. The same reports say revenue generated from the sportsbooks across the league would not be shared until it “hits a certain threshold,” believed to be around the $20 million mark. Of course, a hurdle that would prevent Arrowhead Stadium from hosting its own sportsbook is the State of Missouri not legalizing sports wagering.
