On April 4, residents in Missouri will head to the polls to decide on municipal and countywide issues.

Many counties and cities are seeing sales tax proposals on the sale of adult use marijuana. The cities of Ava and West Plains are asking residents to approve a sales tax of three percent on all retail sales of adult use marijuana sold within in the city.

Douglas County residents will be voting to impose a countywide sales tax of three percent on all tangible personal property retail sales of adult use marijuana sold within the county.

Residents in Howell County will decide a $750,000 bond measure for the Oregon-Howell R-III School District to replace the current asphalt parking lot; upgrading heating, ventilation and air conditioning units; repair roofs and other repairs as necessary throughout the district. A special school levy election will also be presented to continue the existing temporary operating tax of $0.6618 per one hundred dollars through 2037 to retain qualified staff, maintain facilities and meet operating expenses for the District.
