Missoula Aging Services (MAS) announces one of its most anticipated fundraisers will return on Saturday, June 10th, from 8:00am-3:30pm at St. Anthony Parish located at 217 Tremont Street, in Missoula.
The one-day sale of donated, pre-owned jewelry raises funds that benefit programs and services for older adults, and caregivers at Missoula Aging Services. Prices for the jewelry start at one dollar. People of all ages are welcome to attend, and admission to the event is free.
A dedicated group of MAS volunteers meet every Thursday all year long to sort, clean, inspect, repair and tag donated jewelry to be sold at the annual event. “We’d like to thank the Missoula community for their generosity in donating such lovely fine and costume jewelry,” says MAS volunteer Felicia Saunders. “The Wear it Again Jewelry Sale is a wonderful way for people to recycle jewelry, and it feels great knowing the money we raise at the event is helping older people in need,” Saunders added.
Last year, the sale raised $30,000, with all proceeds benefitting older adults and caregivers in Missoula County. MAS accepts jewelry donations Monday through Friday between 8:00am-5:00pm at their office located at 337 Stephens Avenue. For more information, please call (406)728-7682 or visit the website.
