MISSOULA, MT —
The Tribal Business Council and the Commerce Department on the Blackfeet Reservation announced the passing of Ordinance 111, over concerns about high energy drink sales.

Under Ordinance 111, energy drinks, pill packets, and high energy gum can no longer be sold to minors.
Grocery stores, bars, convenience stores, and other retail establishments selling drinks, or food within the Blackfeet Indian Reservation cannot sell the items to people under 18 years of age.
The ordinance specifies energy drinks, pill packets, shots and more will need to be behind the counter, and any establishment found selling to minors can be fined up to $250 per occurrence.
