Another day of scattered showers and thunderstorms is expected, especially across southwest Montana. This is courtesy of an area of low pressure that will linger over the Pacific Northwest through the weekend. This means the daily threat of showers and thunderstorms. Thunderstorms will develop each afternoon. Storms that develop will produce brief, heavy rain, gusty winds and frequent lightning. Highs will remain very pleasant, a few degrees above average in the 60s and 70s.
Memorial Day Weekend will feature more of the same. While not a complete washout, the threat for thunderstorms (mainly in the PM) means you should stay alert to changing weather conditions! If you have outdoor plans, keep an eye on the sky, and be ready to move indoors if necessary.
Afternoon thunderstorms will continue much of next week, with warmer temperatures expected as well.
