Crash in Hattiesburg Claims 1 Life, Injures 2 more.

According to the Hattiesburg Police Department, one man is dead following a crash involving two vehicles in Hattiesburg on Monday morning. The crash occured in the southbound lane of U.S. Highway 49 near U.S. Highway 98.

Upon arrival, the officers discovered that a 67 year old man had been trapped inside of his vehicle. He was extricated from his vehicle and taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Two other people were also taken to the hospital for non life threatening injuries.

According to the Hattiesburg Police Department, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
