Citizens of Mississippi should be prepared to experience wind, flooding rain, and potential spinup tornadoes, and to have an emergency plan in place.

The impact of Tropical Storm Francine is expected to start being felt on Wednesday, September 11.

Although this is the expectation, Mississippi Emergency Management Agency cautions those potentially affected to be alert and monitor the weather using trusted news sources.

Concerned citizens are encouraged to download the MEMA app, and to set weather alerts to begin monitoring #TSFrancine.
