Woman pulls gun on suspected car thief in Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA, Ind. - Mishawaka police say a woman pulled a gun on a man trying to steal her car outside the Phoenix Bar and Grill Tuesday night.
Investigators say the woman had just left the bar and when she got in her car a man jumped in.
They say the woman pulled a gun out and then there was a struggle. The gun discharged and the woman suffered a gunshot to one of her hands.
She managed to get out of her vehicle, but then the man took off with her car.
Police recovered the car in downtown South Bend after a crash.
The man was arrested and taken into custody.
