It's an effort by the Mishawaka Parks and Recreation Foundation and the Mayor Wood's Youth Advisory Council.
The proposed park would be located on the northeast corner of City Hall, at 1st and Main Streets.
The area would include seating and artwork.
Organizers say it's the perfect location for people who might be waiting for restaurant reservations.
There's also hope guest speakers and local bands will use the space.
The goal is to raise $50,000 for the project.
