AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is still looking for the Stuarts Draft women who has been missing since last Friday. WAYNESBORO — Valley Program for Aging Services (VPAS), the local area agency on aging, is celebrating 50 years of service in communities throughout the Shenandoah Valley. Craigsville granted $3.8 million by newly passed state budget
RICHMOND – Craigsville’s infrastructure debt and incorporation woes are over. Gov. Glenn Youngkin signed Virginia’s 2024-2026 biennial budget just hours after it was passed by the General Assembly Monday. VERONA – The Augusta County Planning Commission will take up a request to "construct and operate a large solar energy system" spread over five sites. The fenced-in acreage of the project, the way solar energy systems are categorized in Augusta County, is approximately 470 acres. About 114 acres would be directly under panels. Including all other land uses, the total project acreage is 1,693, located in Urban Service Area or Community Development Area of the comprehensive plan.

Staunton Crossing to install utilities for potential businesses
STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV) - The future business park in Staunton is already home to hotels and retail organizations, like Waffle House and Chipotle. In 2016, the Staunton Crossing Partners bought 25 acres of the land to start some development in the business park. Now, the city is closer to allowing businesses to move into the site, which used to be the home of the Western State Hospital.
