FINAL UPDATE: Anthony Edwards' Injury Status For Timberwolves-Knicks Game

Anthony Edwards is on the injury report for Monday's game.

FINAL UPDATE: Anthony Edwards has been ruled out.

On Monday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves will be in Manhattan to face off with the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

For the game, they could be without their best player, as Anthony Edwards is listed as questionable due to an ankle injury.

The former UGA star missed his first game of the season on Sunday against the Toronto Raptors (the Timberwolves lost 122-107).

Underdog NBA: "Anthony Edwards (ankle) questionable for Monday."

Edwards is in the middle of a very impressive season with averages of 24.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.6 steals per contest in 71 games.

He is also shooting 46.1% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range.

Last season, the former first-overall pick helped lead the Timberwolves to the NBA Playoffs for the first time since 2018.

Right now, they have a 35-37 record in 72 games, which has them in a three-way tie with the Los Angeles Lakers and Utah Jazz for the ninth seed in the Western Conference.

They are on a three-game losing streak and 4-6 over their last ten games.

On the road, the Timberwolves are 15-20 in the 35 games they have played away from the Target Center.

As for the Knicks, they are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 42-30 record in 72 games.

They are 7-3 in their last ten games and on a three-game winning streak.

At home, the Knicks are 20-16 in the 36 games they have hosted at Madison Square Garden.
