(Minneapolis, MN) -- Violent crime is trending downward in Minneapolis. Minneapolis Crime Dashboard data through yesterday shows the city has had fewer assaults, homicides, thefts, robberies, carjackings, and injuries by gunfire in 2023 compared with the same time period in 2022. Officials say violence still remains above pre-pandemic levels, but crime numbers are decreasing. The Minneapolis Police Department launched Operation Endeavor last fall to crack down on criminal hot spots.
