CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - SEMO baseball will pay tribute to a former tenant of Capaha Field, the St. Louis Browns next week. And now, fans will be able to join in. The St. Louis Browns, known now as the Baltimore Orioles, played in St. Louis from 1902 to 1953. From 1943 to 1945, due to World War II travel restrictions, the team couldn’t conduct Spring Training at a typical warm climate. Instead, the Browns played Spring Training at Capaha Field in Cape Girardeau.
