Pottawattamie County fire crews investigating after resident found dead
HANCOCK, Iowa (WOWT) - Fire officials in Pottawattamie County are investigating after someone was found dead inside a residence following a blaze early Friday. Crews tell 6 News the fire was reported off of U.S. 59 between Hancock and Oakland around 3:15 a.m. Avoca and Oakland fire crews, among others, responded to the scene and found an elderly resident deceased. His home had been fully engulfed in flames.
