Food trucks targeted in Milwaukee robberies
MILWAUKEE — Food truck drivers are on alert in Milwaukee after a robbery spree over the weekend on the south side. In at least one of the robberies, the young men used guns. In one incident Saturday night at 11th and Becher streets, surveillance video from inside and outside shows a young man leaping up into the Taqueria La Parilla Mixe food truck, grabbing the drawer from the register, and he and his accomplice grab the cash and run off.

While last spring and summer were marked by drought concerns across southern Wisconsin, this spring seems to be a different story. The National Weather Service defines meteorological spring as the months of March, April and May. As of May 13, since this season began, Milwaukee has recorded at least a trace amount of rain or snowfall 35 out of 74 days, said local NWS meteorologist Cameron Miller. That's over 47% of the time.

MILWAUKEE — Once a month, eight kids ranging in age from nine to 18 years old gather at a local church in Milwaukee to write stories and practice improv. The group is called Lost Tales, and it’s part of Milwaukee Youth Theater. All the kids in the group audition and earn a spot on the team. The group then works closely with Milwaukee Youth Theater’s Executive Director Harmonie Baker through a series of workshops to create stories.
