TOWN OF FRANKLIN, Wis. (WEAU) - Two people are hurt after a two-vehicle crash in the Town of Franklin Saturday night. According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened on U.S. Highway 14 around 5:50 p.m. 38-year-old Brett Burkum of Viroqua was reportedly traveling North when his vehicle moved into the opposite lane, hitting a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Chloe Billington of Soldiers Grove. Don't expect 80 degree temperatures like we saw on Saturday, but we will see our share of 60s and 70s for highs going into May, starting on Wednesday. Hard to believe our average high for this time of year is already in the low 60s. Sunday looks to be the coolest day of the week for highs either side of 50 along with a prevalent northeasterly wind.
