Whether it’s Jerry West and Elgin Baylor, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and Kevin McHale, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, or one of several others NBA history is filled with great teammate duos. None of them ever achieved what Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday did on Wednesday.

The Milwaukee Bucks were firing on all cylinders, especially offensively, in a 149-136 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

As he so often does, Antetokounmpo did a lot of everything. He recorded a triple-double, with 38 points, 17 rebounds and 12 assists. And while Antetokounmpo led his team in rebounds and assists, he was not the top scorer for the Bucks on the evening. That was Holiday, who scored 51 points.

That’s a first in NBA history. After the game, the SportsCenter Twitter account noted that “The Bucks are the first team in NBA history to have both a 50-point scorer and a 35-point triple-double in the same game.”

Basketball fans were quite impressed by the huge numbers put up by the Milwaukee teammates.

The Bucks and their fans hope that Antetokounmpo and Holiday will have more of the same on Thursday, when Milwaukee hosts the Boston Celtics. If the Bucks win that game, they would essentially lock up the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, while a win from the Celtics would provide a sliver of hope for Boston.
