Milton swept boys and girls track and field quadrangulars at Milton High School on Monday night.

The girls team had seven individual wins and a relay victory to help rack up 87 team points, comfortably clear of runner-up Mount Horeb’s total of 71.

Lydia Kueng, Sydney Grady and Carissa Rockstroh won the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes in times of 13.56, 27.87 and 1:08.90, respectively. Jule Esslinger won the 100-meter hurdles in 17.67 seconds, and Milton’s 400-meter relay team of Grady, Kueng, Bardot Sheehy and Laney Gill won that race in 54.78 seconds.

In the field events, Caitlin Zingsheim had the meet’s top shot put of 32 feet, 6 inches. Louisa Borsutzky won the high jump by clearing 4 feet, 10 inches, and Sheehy was the meet’s pole vault champ with a jump of 9 feet, 6 inches.

Only two girls ran in the 3,200-meter run, but one of them was Abigail Sadler, a Harvard University track recruit from Mount Horeb who ran her personal best of 10:53.34 seconds. That time was just three seconds slower than the winning boys time at Monday’s meet.

The Red Hawks boys, meanwhile, also enjoyed seven individual wins and a relay victory.

Kai Sheridan took first in the open 100 and 200 with times of 11.40 and 23.10 seconds. Ethan Mitchell also won twice, gliding to an easy victory in the 110 hurdles (15.51 seconds) and in the long jump (21 feet, 0.5 inches).

Daniel Stewart took first in the 1,600-meter run in 5 minutes, 15.99 seconds; A.J. Markham won the discus with a throw of 137 feet, 4 inches; and Jason Brooks joined Sheehy as a pole vault champ with a jump of 11 feet, 6 inches.

Milton’s 1,600-meter relay foursome of Jonathan Flowers, Carter Smith, Mason Sorge and Griffin Elliott took first in their race in a time of 3:47.77.
