    Milton Stand Against Racism event is May 2

    MILTON — A Stand Against Racism event in Milton will take place at North Goodrich Park, 20 Parkview Dr., at noon on Friday, May 2.

    Northside Intermediate School Associate Principal Cassie Jemilo will be the keynote speaker. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Seventh Day Baptist Church, 720 E. Madison Ave., in Milton.

    The city of Milton has proclaimed May 2 Stand Against Racism day.

    Stand Against Racism events raise awareness about the impact of institutional and structural racism and provides an opportunity to unite, educate and promote racial justice. This year’s theme is “Building Bridges to Equity.”
