Localized 2 to 3 Inch Hourly Rainfall Brings Flash Flood Threat to Mobile, Pensacola, and Florida Panhandle as Five Radars Remain Down
GULF COAST — Heavy rain is falling along the upper Gulf Coast Sunday morning, with localized hourly rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches or more. A localized flash flood threat continues through 14Z, or 9 a.m. Central time, across coastal Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. Adding to the concern, several National Weather Service radar sites across the region are down and not reporting. That means heavy rain may be difficult to track in real time as it moves through affected communities.

Dry today; Heavy rain possible later this week
MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - It is going to be a magnificent Monday! Plan on sunshine and passing mid-level clouds with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Dew points in the 40s and 50s mean very dry air. Relative humidity could slip into the 20s away from the coast, creating elevated wildfire danger with dry vegetation and drought conditions. Light winds (10 mph or less) should keep us below Red Flag Warning criteria. Tonight, the forecast looks clear and cool with lows in the upper 50s inland, lower 60s at the coast.
