Mundy's Mill star Lesly Ortega signs with Georgia Military College
Mundy’s Mill recently celebrated Lesly Ortega, a 2023 graduate who signed a letter of intent with the Georgia Military College women’s soccer program. Ortega is the “first Hispanic-American female student-athlete at Mundy’s Mill High School to sign a soccer scholarship,” Tigers soccer coach Julius Omotayo said. The midfielder finished her high school career with 80 goals, 57 assists and 231 steals.
Quincy Edwards signs with Georgia Military College
2023 Calhoun County graduate Quincy Edwards signed a national letter of intent to play college football at the Georgia Military College in Milledgeville during a ceremony Tuesday at Calhoun County High School. Edwards will play quarterback for the Bulldogs. He is a three-sport athlete that excelled in football, was region player of the year in basketball, and earned a state championship in track by winning the 200-meter dash at the state track meet. He is the son of Lashay Richardson.

Drew earns GHSA's Cooperative Spirit Sportsmanship Award
Drew earned the Georgia High School Association’s Cooperative Spirit Sportsmanship Award, given to schools that demonstrated impeccable sportsmanship during the 2022-23 school year.
