Local Ellendale Resident Albert Triplett Missing, State Police Issue Gold Alert
Delaware State Police Troop 6 has issued a Gold Alert for Albert Triplett, a 29-year-old man from Ellendale, Delaware. Triplett was last seen on November 20, 2023, near the 1900 block of Maryland Avenue in Wilmington. Efforts to locate or contact him have been unsuccessful, leading to worries about his safety.
Sussex Governor’s Task Force Arrests Two Men for Weapon and Drug Offenses
Delaware State Police have arrested two men for weapon and drug offenses following a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon. At about 4 p.m. that day, Sussex County Governor’s Task Force was carrying out proactive patrols In Millsboro. During their patrol, they spotted a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign located at the intersection of Dupont Boulevard and W. Monroe Street. Troopers pulled over the vehicle and approached the driver and passenger. A trooper noticed the handle of a black handgun sticking out of his jacket pocket. As a result, troopers asked Cox and Clanton to get out of the vehicle and took them into custody without incident. Upon searching them and the vehicle, troopers found over $1000 in suspected drug proceeds, along with a 9mm handgun, approximately 37.93 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 102.84 grams of cocaine, and approximately 117 bags of heroin. 30-year-old Jervis Cox, of Bridgeville, Delaware, and 24-year-old Devantay Clanton, of Ellendale each face several charges and are currently at Sussex Correctional Institution.
Local Dover Man Arrested for Hampton Drive Shooting Incident
The Dover Police Department arrested 23-year-old Brice Hall on December 7, 2023, in relation to a shooting that took place on November 13, 2023. The incident resulted in a 20-year-old male being injured. Hall, a Dover resident, was identified as a suspect during the investigation, leading to a warrant for his arrest.
Milford Police Department ribbon cutting set Dec. 12
The City of Milford announced the completion of its new police department building at 401 NE Front St., Milford. The public is invited to a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, followed by guided tours. Public open houses will also be held from 1 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 13, and 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 14.
Police search for Delaware man who didn't return to correctional center after work
WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) -- Law enforcement in our region is on the lookout for yet another escaped prisoner after they say he walked away from a Delaware correctional facility on Wednesday.Mikel Paoletti, 25, did not return to the Plummer Community Corrections Center after getting a work pass to leave the building, the Delaware Department of Correction said.Plummer, on Todds Lane in Wilmington, is a facility with work release and substance abuse treatment programs that allow inmates to reintegrate into society. Inmates are allowed to leave the facility for work, to find a job, or to attend a treatment program.Officials don't know where Paoletti is at this time and obtained a warrant for his arrest.Paoletti is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair.He was charged in August 2022 after state police said he made death threats and brandished a machete after getting in an argument with a man at a DART Park and Ride bus station on Centerville Road in Wilmington.

One Man Dead After Attempting to Cross Rt. 13 in Dover
DOVER, DE - A Dover man is dead after a car hit him as he was attempting to cross N. DuPont Highway (Rt. 13) on foot Tuesday night. The Dover Police Department says they were called to the intersection of North DuPont Highway and Kings Highway just after 9:30 p.m. on December 5th on reports of a crash. The ensuing investigation revealed a 57-year-old victim was crossing the road south of the intersection when a Ford Focus driving south on Rt. 13 struck him. The man was not wearing any reflective material, according to police.

DOVER, Del. - Troopers say 59-year-old Eva Buck, of Hartly, died in a crash on Dec. 1. Delaware State Police say 2001 Buick Century, driven by Buck, was waiting at the stop sign on eastbound Rose Bowl Road, at North Dupont Highway. At the same time, troopers say a 2012 Nissan Sentra was traveling southbound in the left lane of North Dupont Highway, approaching Rose Bowl Road.
