Patriots dominate Milaca and West Central Area

The Patriots showed dominance in its last two games. Their latest victory was beating Milaca 18-8 in a five-inning game Tuesday, April 23. The team had 11 hits and four errors, and Milaca had six hits and three errors.

The Patriots’ Hunter Moore had a great day at the plate, earning four hits, four runs and four RBIs. Jack Primus and Brody Kircher followed with three runs each with one RBI. Hunter Boeckermann had three RBIs two hits and two runs.

Moore was pitching for three innings, allowing three hits, five runs and throwing five strikeouts. Primus pitched one inning with three hits, three runs and two strikeouts. Johnson pitched the last inning with three another three strikeouts.

The Upsala/Swanville Area Patriots also upset West Central in a 7-0 shutout Thursday, April 18.

The Patriots’ Jack Primus and Hunter Moore led the team with two runs each, with Primus also earning two RBIs. Other hitters were Hunter Boeckermann and Benik with one hit and Moore with two.

Three players pitched in the game, with each throwing three strikes: Daniel Kokett, Moore and Bryce Binek. West Central Area had five strikeouts between two pitchers. The Patriots ended the game with eight hits and no errors. West Central Area had one hit and four errors.

The Patriots hosted Parkers Prairie Thursday, April 25. They will also host Browerville-Grey Eagle in a conference game Monday, April 29.
