DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN)– Temperatures will be on this rise the next two days as temperatures will climb into the low 90s once again. The next two days we will be near record breaking with highs around 92 degrees. The record for today and Wednesday is 93 degrees, so both days will be in jeopardy for those records to fall. Rain chances will be on the lower side, giving us more sunlight to warm up.

The Heat Continues to Build
SYNOPSIS – A few showers and thunderstorms brought some temporary heat relief to a handful of locations around the region through the weekend. That heat will continue to build over the region as rain chances drop for the opening half of the new work week. Lower 90s will be a common sight through Wednesday or Thursday, then some relief is on the way for both rain chances and cooler temperatures for the second half of the week. Slightly better rain chances return on Thursday, then temperatures turn cooler as we dry out into the weekend.

Man shoots roommate after argument, police say
DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — An arrest has been made in a Wednesday morning shooting near downtown Dothan. According to Dothan Police spokesperson Lt. Scott Owens, 45-year-old Kenneth Craddock was arrested and charged with assault in the first degree. He was booked into the Houston County Jail on a $30,000 bond.

Softball Game Recap: Headland Takes a Loss
Headland and St. Paul's Episcopal squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Headland had to settle for second. They lost 10-0 to the St. Paul's Episcopal Saints. For St. Paul's Episcopal's part, they let Morgan Maples and Maddie Stokley loose on the outfield. Maples scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Stokley scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
