Nalik Veasley, a Wilmington University men's basketball team player, has won the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Defensive Player of the Week for the third week in a row. Veasley's performance in the recent game against Chestnut Hill contributed to their 76-69 win. He led the team in rebounds, with six defensive and three others, and blocked three shots. This is his fifth game in a row with three blocked shots.

Wilmington University women's soccer players, Manuela Restrepo and Brianna Wons, have received All-Region honors from the 2023 Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-East Region Teams. Restrepo, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Year, was chosen as a First Team All-Region player. Despite missing three games, she ranked second in the CACC with 29 points, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists.
