    Lady Cats bounce back to even series against Middlesboro

    One day after a tough one-run loss at Middlesboro, the Bell County Lady Cats bounced back last Tuesday with a 14-10 win at home in the rematch.

    Jayda Boateng collected four hits in five at bats with three RBI to lead the Lady Cats on offense. Addison Maiden drove in two runs and scored three as she pounded out a double and single. Adyson Scott and Addison Lucas also added a double and single. Hannah Fetters, Emily Rose and Camdyn Thomas each added two singles. Alexus Lawson and Kenley Foster contributed one single each.

    Scott pitched a complete game, giving up nine hits and three earned runs while striking out four and walking three.

    Rose led Bell on Monday with three hits. Fetters, Maiden, Boateng, Thomas and Foster added two singles each. Scott and Lucas had one single each.

    Scott gave up six earned runs on 11 hits with six strikeouts and one walk.

    Kennedy Yoakum led Middlesboro in Monday’s win, driving in four runs on a triple and single. Raehgan Moyers added a double and single. Keevi Betts and Kaylee Lawson had two singles each. Madilynn Jackson, Alexis Middleton, Trinity Partin and Abney Allen added one single each.

    Kenna Lawson started in the circle, giving up four unearned runs on four hits in four innings with four strikeouts and one walk. Kaylee Lawson allowed five runs (one earned) on seven hits with three strikeouts and one walk.

    Middleton led Middlesboro on Tuesday with two doubles. Betts and Yoakum added two singles each. Allen had a triple. Kenna Lawson, Kaylee Lawson and Partin added one single each.

    Kenna Lawson gave up eight runs (six earned) on 11 hits in three innings with two strikeouts and no walks. Kaylee Lawson allowed six runs (two earned) on six hits in three innings with five strikeouts and two walks.

    Middlesboro fell 8-7 to Lynn Camp on Thursday as Middleton led the Lady Jackets with a triple and two singles. Betts had a double and single. Partin and Jackson singled twice each. Yoakum had a double. Moyers added a single with two RBI.

    Kenna Lawson gave up eight runs (three earned) on 11 hits with three strikeouts and no walks in 3 2/3 innings. Kaylee Lawson pitched 2 1/3 shutout innings with two strikeouts and no walks.

    Bell County rolled to an 11-7 win over Barbourville on Thursday.

    Jayda Boateng singled twice and drove in two runs to lead the Bell offense. Camdyn Thomas, Kenley Foster, Addison Lucas and Alexus Lawson added doubles. Cheyenne Wilder, Adyson Scott, Emily Rose, Jaelyn Reader and Addison Maiden had singles.

    Scott gave up seven runs (two earned) on 10 hits with five strikeouts and one walk.
