
UPDATE: Two subjects being sought by authorities with the Mason Police Department have been successfully detained.
Mason Police Chief McKinney confirmed the apprehension Thursday night of Lacie M. Hawley of Middleport, Ohio and Anthony R. Wervey, also of Middleport, Ohio.
Various law enforcement entities are reported to have aided in the apprehension of the two suspects, including some based in the state of Ohio where the individuals had been based.
“I want to commend the exemplary collaboration between our department and our valued colleagues at the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, Racine Police Department, Middleport Police Department and Ohio State Patrol,” said Chief McKinley.
“This successful apprehension underscores the strength of our shared commitment to public safety. Together, we’ve demonstrated the power of teamwork and determination in keeping our community safe.”

MASON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Assistance has been requested from members of the public by the Mason Police Department in an investigation involving two wanted suspects.
Chief C. McKinney of the Mason County Department has urged the community to come forward with any information which may assist in determining the location and ensuring the apprehension of two individuals out of the state of Ohio.
The first suspect has been identified by authorities as Lacie M. Hawley of Middleport, Ohio. Hawley currently faces charges of one count of conspiracy to commit a felony and one count of felony grand larceny.
Hawley is also the subject of a warrant which is extraditable through the Mason County Magistrate Court.
The second suspect in this investigation has been identified as Anthony R. Wervey, also of Middleport, Ohio.
Wervey faces one count of conspiracy to commit a felony and is the subject of a warrant which is extraditable through the Mason County Magistrate Court.
