The Miami Heat have major things to clean up as they look to head into the playoffs on a strong note. Looking as though they won’t be able to avoid the NBA’s Play-In round of the playoffs, the Miami Heat need to find a way to simultaneously get the most out of the offense and defense as  the season officially comes to a close.

Speaking of getting the most out of something, that’s just what the Miami he did on Wednesday night, and even in a terrible defeat.

Playing what seems like the most consistent stretch of minutes that he has all year long, the Miami Heat and Coach Spo decided to dust off Duncan Robinson.

With Max Strus picking up three early fouls and in just three minutes of play, he wouldn’t see much more of the floor on Wednesday. And though you never want to say what this means for the future, on Wednesday, it seemed like the right move.

Instantly doing what he has done thus far during his career for the most part, Robinson came on the court and proceeded to knock down threes.

The Miami Heat took another defeat at the hands of the Knicks on Wednesday. But among all of the negatives there, Duncan Robinson was a positive.

And on top of the fact that he showed you his classic three-point shooting form, Robinson even showed you a little more diversity in his offensive game.

But possibly even bigger than all of the offense that Duncan Robinson showed you on Wednesday night is this. While some will point to the ineptitude of his shooting stroke over the last season or sell, others might point to his defensive inability.

But on Wednesday, Duncan Robinson showed you that he’s been working. Actively doing all he could to keep his hands down and out of the defender’s airspace, Robinson was able to have success on that side of the ball as well.

And again, while the Miami Heat have a ton to clean up before they head into the playoffs, this may be a positive development. For a guy making $18 million on average, but couldn’t seem to make his way on the floor, the Miami Heat may finally, again, be able to get something out of the investment.

And if he can, again, get back to his level of shooting excellence, then the Miami Heat will certainly be a better team than they were before Wednesday.
