The Miami Heat have business to take care of right now in their immediate present, however, the future is never too far off to start considering. When you think about the Miami Heat’s future, it may be one that looks much different from the team that’s before you right now.

Though you don’t want to get specific with names and faces, at least those names and faces currently on the Miami Heat’s roster, there is one name and face that isn’t on the roster that is drawing current interest.

On the ever-so-hot rumor mill, there is chatter about one particular Washington Wizard forward and his impending free agency, providing he opts out of his deal. And when it comes to Kyle Kuzma, his skillset has been one that could have long been used by a team like the Miami Heat.

Ideally, with his ball skills, size, and floor-stretching ability, he would seem to be a perfect fit to play alongside Bam Adebayo.

The Miami Heat might be a geographical fit for Kyle Kuzma, basketball too. However, can they afford to pay what it might take to land him and keep him?

But before you go that far, here are a few specific details surrounding why this is even a topic in the first place.

If it’s all about location, location, location for Kyle Kuzma, then Miami seems like the place to be. If the reports are correct, with a home in the area, wanting to be able to quickly get home, and wanting to be able to easily travel to the Caribbean, then, of course, South Florida is the perfect geographical location for the forward.

Now that locations out of the way though, the compensation will be the next question. The Miami Heat would be hard-pressed to land forward in a bidding war, of sorts, for his talent on the open market. However, they could sell him on winning first, while having him help facilitate a deal of sorts with his current team.

That’s, basically, what happened with Jimmy Butler.

Those things are still some time away though and while, again, those in charge of the Miami Heat should always have one eye on the future, everyone else should practice staying right here. That’s where the Miami Heat currently are, chasing down teams for positioning in a tight playoff race in preparation to hopefully make another deep playoff run.
