Tim Sears Jr. is the defending track champion at the Brewerton Speedway and started on the front row in Friday’s 2024 opener at this Route 11 oval. Sears paced the 24-car, DIRT big-block modified field for the first thirteen laps, but Jimmy Phelps then raced into the top spot and easily motored to the $2,000 feature triumph.

The National Weather Service issued a report at 11:40 a.m. on Tuesday for strong thunderstorms until 3:30 p.m. for Cayuga and Oswego counties. "Scattered thunderstorms will develop this afternoon ahead of a slow moving cold front. Some of the storms could be marginally strong with localized heavy rain and wind gusts to 45 mph. This low probability risk will end this evening," states the weather service.
