FIRST WARN FORECAST: Small chance for an isolated shower this evening
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The severe weather threat this evening has mainly shifted to the east/southeast of Kansas City. Those in central, southern, and eastern Missouri have a significant threat of strong to severe thunderstorms. There is a “Particularly Dangerous Situation” Tornado Watch in place in southeast Missouri, including St. Louis. I can’t completely rule out an isolated pop-up in our area, but most of us should stay dry for the rest of our Sunday evening. Winds pick up a bit on Memorial Day from the northwest, but that will keep our temperatures pleasant and our humidity low. Expect morning lows in the upper 50s, with afternoon highs near 80 degrees. We should be mostly sunny for the day! It will be great to get out and about. Mostly sunny skies carry into Tuesday with the upper 70s. There is an increasing chance for rain and rumbles later this next week. A few late-day showers and generic thunderstorms are possible on Thursday, but right now, the higher confidence is in Friday rain. Will keep a close eye on Friday, but we did place a First Warn for rain. No extreme changes in temperatures are on the way, so enjoy many days in the 70s and lower 80s over the next week!
