UPPER PENINSULA, Mich. (WLUC) - Feeding America is distributing food to those in need of assistance in Menominee and Luce counties on Thursday. The first event is at the Greater Marinette-Menominee YMCA, at 1600 West Drive in Menominee. Distribution begins at 10 a.m. Central time. The second event is at the GCCP Dulap Center, at 6545 M-123 in Newberry. Distribution there begins at 2 p.m. Eastern time.

The M&M Area Community Foundation (MMACF) has again partnered with Peshtigo National Bank on a “Teacher Incentive Program.” This innovative program provides grants to teachers who include financial literacy in their student’s curriculum. School staff throughout Marinette and Menominee counties participating in the MMACF’s Future Fund children’s savings account program are eligible to apply.
