2 dead, including teen, after Frayser shooting; 1 detained
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Two people, including a teenage boy, are dead after a shooting in Frayser Monday evening.
Police say that at 5:22 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 3100 block of Madewell Street, at Greenbriar Apartments.
There, officers located a teenage boy and adult woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
The teenage victim was pronounced dead on the scene, police say. The woman was transported to Regional One Hospital in critical condition but did not survive her injuries.
Police say one man is detained and that preliminary information suggests that he knew the victims.
This is an ongoing investigation.
