(LSUA) - In a bid to streamline access to engineering education, Louisiana State University of Alexandria (LSUA) and Louisiana State University (LSU) have unveiled a new educational partnership. This collaboration allows students to begin studying engineering at LSUA and then seamlessly transfer to LSU to complete their bachelor’s degree. This agreement ensures students can complete pre-engineering coursework and earn an Associate of Science (AS) at LSUA before pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering at LSU.

Pedestrian seriously injured in single vehicle crash on Eddie Williams
ALEXANDRIA, La. (WNTZ) – On Sunday, May 5, 2024, at approximately 8:30 PM the Alexandria Police Department responded to a single vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. The crash occurred in southbound lane of Eddie Williams Avenue just north of Willow Glen Road. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital and remains in critical condition. Toxicology tests were run on the driver of the vehicle.
