The Dallas Center-Grimes girls soccer team punches their ticket to the state tournament Thursday.

The Mustangs were able to defeat and shut out the Norwalk Warriors by a score of 3 to 0. The left boot of junior Kylie Knief got things started for the Mustangs scoring a goal at the 16 minute mark in the first half. And then a perfect kick from junior Hannah Renz in a corner set piece allowed junior Olivia Cyr to score goal number two at the 6 minute mark in the first half. Finally, sophomore Landry Glascow would blow by the goalie keeper and score the third and final goal of the first half and game.

The Mustangs will now take on Marion for the quarterfinal game of the Class 2A State Championship tournament on Wednesday, May 31st at the Crownie Soccer Complex in Des Moines.
