The record high at Charleston International Airport is 93° on Wednesday and 95° Thursday. Our next best chance of rain will arrive Thursday afternoon or evening with the potential of a few strong to severe storms. A cold front will pass through Thursday night finally leading to a drop in temperatures on Friday. How quickly the front moves through will determine whether rain lingers into the end of the work week. Weather models are still disagreeing on the outcome of Thursday’s storm system, so the details will change over the next day or so. Regardless, rain will be gone and the temperatures will be a lot more comfortable for our Mother’s Day weekend with highs near 80 degrees on Saturday and low 80s on Sunday.
