The co-hosts of Fox & Friends discussed Fox News’s latest polling on the 2024 presidential race which saw Vice President Kamala Harris leading the national poll for the first time over former President Donald Trump.

“Last night at 6:00, Bret Baier released brand new poll, Fox News poll. And it goes to show just how close it is right now based on the national polls with registered voters and there is a, keep in mind, margin of error of three points. Kamala Harris is currently leading Donald Trump coast to coast by two points. That’s a three-point shift since August from Trump to Harris. But when you look at the battleground states,” began host Steve Doocy.

“The ones that really matter, the states that matter,” jumped in Ainsley Earhardt.

“These are important. You should see that Kamala Harris is trailing Trump by two. But then again, the margin, it’s way within the margin of error. The margin of error is between 4 and 6 in that particular because it’s so wide,” Doocy continued.

Lawrence Jones then said, “Well, it just just tells a story. And it wasn’t just our poll. And Gallup came out with some polling that Donald Trump’s favorability, it’s up by five points, 46% to now, Kamala Harris, 44%. So when it comes to the states, Ainsley, you know, we go back and forth like who’s going to win this thing because it’s so close.”

“You care about the battleground states and you care about the electoral college though. I mean popular vote, Democrats is always an advantage for them. But when it comes to the Electoral College and the states, that matters. I think that’s some good news for Trump,” Jones argued.

Brian Kilmeade added, “But, you know, Harris doing better than Biden. Harris is doing better than Biden with Hispanics and she’s doing better than Biden with with independents.” Kilmeade then listed how each candidate is viewed on various issues as the conversation continued.

“So there are there’s an absolute blizzard of polls out today. The New York Times just released a poll, a New York Times/Siena College poll, and it shows that the race is deadlocked in Pennsylvania,” Doocy added.

“Harris is up by four, they say. And there’s another poll from Morning Consult. And we know that Donald Trump’s strong suit is the economy. He’s at 46%. She is now tied with him at 46%. It just goes to show you that apparently people feel, and Brian brought up the point, she’s doing better than Joe Biden did. So many people have compared her to Joe Biden. They just like her better than him. And now, according to that poll, they’re tied. But it’s all a coin toss. It is virtually deadlocked across the board,” Doocy concluded.
