Kellyanne Conway Says She’s Had ‘Conversations’ with Trump About Laura Loomer: ‘I’ve Pushed Back’

Kellyanne Conway said she’s had conversations with former President Donald Trump about his connection to controversial conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer .

Conway, a former Trump advisor, said she preferred Lara Trump to Loomer when the latter was brought up by Tim Alberta at The Atlantic Festival in D.C.

“I prefer Lara Trump. That would be my favorite Lara to be around him. She’s doing a great job at the [Republican National Committee],” Conway said told Alberta.

Loomer’s presence on the campaign trail with Trump has sparked controversy , even among loyal Trump supporters like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). Loomer has spread a 9/11 conspiracy theory and made a number of remarks critics have called racist and sexist, including saying the White House would “smell like curry” if Vice President Kamala Harris wins in November, a derogatory insult referencing Harris’s Indian heritage.

Loomer has also feuded with Conway’s daughter, Claudia Conway , and made derogatory remarks about her. In an X exchange, Loomer called her a “low IQ, highly sexually promiscuous woman with daddy issues.” In the lengthy post , Loomer also bashed Claudia Conway as “disgusting and worthless.”

Kellyanne Conway made reference to Loomer attacking her daughter when asked if she would have allowed Loomer on Trump’s plane to his ABC News debate with Harris.

“No — I don’t know her, I don’t know that I’ve ever been in the same room with her. People have shown me what she has said. I’m not a big fan of Twitter, I just don’t live on social media, I’m not willing to live online, I live offline with all of you here. It just tastes, looks, smells, and is better. So I didn’t know this person so when I learned more about her and what she was saying, including to my 19-year-old daughter — it’s unacceptable,” Conway said.

She added that she’s one multiple conversations with Trump about Loomer and she “likes” what she’s been hearing in response to her concerns.

“I’ve pushed back on that. And I’ve had a conversation or two with the president since that I won’t reveal, and I liked what I heard. I will just say that, and I don’t really care what she says, I don’t care what people screaming on social media say, it doesn’t really matter,” she said. “It matters to me if they’re anti-this or anti-that, and I know that they don’t reflect the principle.”

Claudia Conway recently mocked Loomer for threatening a defamation lawsuit against comedian Bill Maher over a joke about her relationship to Trump. Conway told Loomer that more than a dozen people, including her, could sue Loomer for defamation too.

“I could name at least 20 people, myself included, who could sue you for defamation, Laura,” she wrote.
