Man Arrested for Fatal Shooting
A man was arrested in Waterloo Wednesday for allegedly shooting and killing another man at a bar in Marion, according to KWWL. 28 year old Duval Walker Jr. has been charged with 1st degree Murder in the killing of 32 year old Cameron Barnes. Barnes was shot dead inside Cocktails and Company on March 17th. Walker has also been charged with Possession of a Firearm or Offensive Weapon by a Felon and Going Armed with Intent. The US Marshals of the Northern Iowa Fugitive Task Force received information that Walker was in Waterloo Wednesday and were able to take him into custody without incident. Walker was transported to the Linn County Correctional Center.

Marion man, teen charged in Solon drive-by shooting
SOLON, Iowa (KCRG) - The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people this month in connection to a drive-by shooting in rural Solon in November 2022. In a press release, the sheriff’s office said Bryant Wallace, 19, of Marion, was arrested on March 14, and a 17-year-old male was arrested on Tuesday. They both face charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon and other weapons-related charges.

Johnson County Sheriff’s Office updates info on drive-by shooting near Shueyville
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has released more information about a drive-by shooting last fall near Shueyville. According to the original criminal complaint, 19-year-old Bryant Wallace of 4th Avenue was driving a black minivan towards the victim’s residence on Hickory Hollow Road just before 5:45pm on November 2nd. He slowed down so his teenage accomplice could shoot four rounds from a 9mm handgun out the van window at the victim’s camper.

An overnight traffic stop in Iowa City has led to weapons and drug charges against a West Branch man. Iowa City Police pulled over a 1992 Chevy Caprice being driven by 41-year-old Dave Brown of Bradley Lane just before 12:30 Tuesday morning near the intersection of Scott Boulevard and Court Street. Brown reportedly admitted to having marijuana and a gun inside the vehicle.
